TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Payment Conditions • Students coming to the UK must pay for their course in full, two weeks before it starts. • Students applying for courses while in the UK must pay in full 2 weeks before the course starts or if paying by instalments the 1st payment must be made before the course starts. • In both cases students are responsible for paying their own bank charges. • If MCC decides to offer an instalment plan, students must abide by this plan. MCC's decision will be final in all matters. • Students will be responsible for all outstanding payments due to MCC. 2. Cancellation conditions – where the student cancels • If the student cancels more than 2 weeks before their course begins they may get 100% of their fees returned. This excludes the administration charge of £250.00 • If the student cancels less than 2 weeks before their course begins they may get 50% of their fees returned. This excludes the administration charge of £250.00 • Cancellations will not be considered unless in writing. • There are no refunds for students who cancel their course after the term has begun and no retrospective refunds. This also applies to students whose registration has been cancelled due to non-attendance. • If a student fails to get a visa prior to departure from their home country and has already paid MCC, there will be a full refund, minus administration charge of £250.00 • 3. Cancellation conditions – where MCC cancels • MCC reserve the right to cancel or alter a course where there are circumstances beyond its control and MCC will offer alternative provision as appropriate, No refund is available. 4. Fees • There is a one off registration fee of £250.00 payable for the administrative support, including bank letters and other support letters provided while registered on a course with MCC • Textbooks are not included in the price of a course. You must purchase course text books to complete your studies. • Travel Insurance is not included in the price of the course • Travel cost to and from the UK is not included in the price of the course • Accommodation is not included in the price of the course. • Local travel cost in the UK is not included in the price of the course. 5. Re-enrolment • Re-enrolment on another course will be at the normal price of that course. 6. Holiday Policy • Students must give the College one month’s notice before they take a holiday. • Normally holidays will not be permitted for courses of 12 weeks or less. • The College is closed at the following times: • 2 weeks at Christmas (This includes Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day) • Good Friday and Easter Monday • All other national bank holidays (see calendar for details) 7. Immigration Legislation • Students who are visa nationals, are required by the authorities to attend a full time course of a minimum of 15 hours per week. • If you are not attending we are required to inform the authorities 8. Special Offers • Special offers apply only to the duration of the specific offer and cannot be offered outside of that time. 9. Minimum age of students • The minimum age of students is 18 years of age. 10. Class times and lengths • Students will be informed of class times and length of course on arrival and after sitting a placement test. • A 15 minute break is included within each 3.25 hour teaching block. 11. Student Handbook • Students will be expected to read and understand the information in the MCC handbook. • It sets out the conduct we expect from students. • It covers the sanctions for consistent absences and for persistent lateness. • Students are expected to participate actively in their class and do progress tests periodically, and their homework regularly • We expect students to speak English in class, not their own language. I hereby apply for admission to Manchester Central College for my son/daughter/myself/other. If I subsequently accept the place offered I undertake to pay tuition fees incurred as they become due. I understand the terms and conditions of enrolment and enclose 2 passport sized photos. These terms and conditions amended on and to take effect from 1st December 2009.
